With dozens of deer calls on the market, it can be difficult choosing
the call that is right for you.
How can you beat this?
The "Grunt 'n Bleat' is so simple to operate the user needs only minutes
of practice to call like a pro. The Grunt 'n Bleat is three calls in one.
By pulling apart the flexible hose from the barrel of the caller this
exposes the reed holder and the "o" ring. Moving the special "o" ring
into one of five notches available, you can choose which call sound you
want to produce.
Early Season: Best time of the year to use the fawn bleat. Slip
the "o" ring to the last notch on the reed holder. Gently blow and you
will produce the perfect bleat. Curious does, more times than not, find
this call too tempting not to inspect.
Pre/post rut: Keep the "o" ring set on the first or second notch
of the reed holder in order to imitate a mature buck. Don't call to loudly
or too often.
Two or three short quick grunts every 10 to 15 minutes should do the job.
Dominant bucks as well as subordinate bucks will believe another buck
has invaded their territory and will head your way in order to check out
the new competition.
During Rut: Place the "o" ring on the middle notch of the reed
holder. Now is the time to imitate a doe. Do this by making your actual
call last longer ... approximately three seconds.
Once again, two or three grunts every 10 to 15 minutes should be adequate.
Bucks will think they are hearing the call of a prospective mate.
The rest will be history.
