Today's high-tech oil injection systems, no matter the make or model,
are the best thing going for your new motor. Oil injection systems keep
the insides clean and well lubed; very little carbon builds up on the
rings and heads. We pull motors down every day, and the oil-injected motors
always show less wear and tear. Here are some helpful tips to keep your
new boat running fast:
1. Always use the best oil, T.C. III.
2. Check all hoses for cracks and make sure they are soft and stress
free.
3. Keep filters and screens clean.
4. Check the alarm systems.
5. Use 90-grade fuel or better.
6. Use fuel stabilizer in the off season.
7. Shut off the motor the second the alarm sounds and see a dealer ASAP.
Most major repairs start out as small ones. Follow all guidelines set
out by the maker and you'll have a great day on the water. Or call me,
