CLARK HILL IS DOWN 9.5 FEET, 82 DEGREES BY RAPALA PRO STAFFER TIM WHITE

Bass fishing is calming down some as the hot weather moves in. It is only taking twelve to fifteen pounds of fish to win most of the weekend tournaments. The Summer pattern is approaching fast as the Bass move back into the deeper water. Some Blue Backs and Shad are schooling early in the morning and a few good top water Bass are still being caught early. After the sun comes up over the treetops, most of your fish will come off the Carolina Rigs and Jigs around wood, rocks or a combination of both. The good news is that the wind is still present and some days are better than others. Also, fish those wind blown main lake points with those Carolina Rigs and Drop Shot Rigs during early Summer. Use your Skitter Props and Chug Bugs as your surface baits and six inch lizards or worms on those Carolina Rigs. Many thanks to Tom Hall for the great fishing reports he sends.
