GUNTERSVILLE JUNE 2008Water Temperature: 82Water Clarity: 2-3 feet The topwater bite has slowed down some this week. Not because the fish don’t want to come up, it’s because the strong winds make it impossible for the fish to see it or hear it. When we find a few areas blocked from the wind we have no problem getting them to chomp it. Tuesday morning my half day landed 27 fish with no fish over three pounds. Tuesday afternoon’s corporate trip my guys landed 8 fish. Thanks to the lovely winds it was dang near impossible to fish anywhere with guys who had never bass fished before. Wednesday’s trip was fair as we landed somewhere around 25-30 fish but again we just couldn’t fish effectively where we wanted to due to the air machine. Thursday’s trip was a little better since the wind laid down a little from the previous day and half. We landed 30+ fish in grass around the 3ft to 8ft of water. All week we have used Yum ribbontail worms & dingers, Xcalibur Jimmy’s & Zell Pop’s, and Booyah jigs. I have June 16-18, 23-26 available.
