Bass fishing is fair and it is best to fish the mid lake creeks early. Then head to the dam and work the lower lake creeks are best. Up the river bass relate to any wood on the river banks and flip a jig or a green shad Zoom u tail worm on a pegged 3/16th ounce sinker. Down lake, bass are in tight schools over the old structure on main lake points at 10 to 14 feet deep. The river is clear also Later in the day use a large Berkley Power Worm on a Texas rig over the grass lines. Rat L Traps are getting a lot of strikes and the gold baits are the hot color along with red. Floating the Rat on and over the grass beds should work all day over the grass beds. Drop the bait into the grass holes and around wood in the back of the creeks. With warm rain and a few more days’ warm weather, get out the spinner baits and buzz baits.
