out the picture of this buck! I wanted to share this with you, and
ask that you put it in the collage in the middle of your magazine.
We just got the Spring issue, and it is great!
My son Andy and I did not get to hunt quite as much as we usually
do this year, because he was in the running in the Alabama State
championship series this past fall and was in contention for a top
5 finish. He finished 2nd place in the state of Alabama for his
age group. I am so proud of him. We hunt dove, quail, squirrel,
ducks and deer. We also fish a good bit. I am almost never in the
woods without him. He doesn't get to go bowhunting yet, but will
go this next fall. He has been practicing with his Browning youth
model, and is a pretty good shot. He has it up to 26 pounds, but
has to pull a bit more yet to be legal.
Anyway, Andy took a 150 yard shot with his 223 (that your gunsmith
fixed up for us) on this nice buck! You guys recommended the ballistic
tip 50 grain bullets for this gun. It worked! I took it to Joe Biddy
in Alabaster, he is mounting it for us. It is not a huge rack, but
for a boy that just turned 10 years old, I think it is pretty good!
I appreciate your shop. The guys are great. So often people are
quick to condemn, but slow to praise. I wanted to write and praise!
We shop there all the time, and will be back for sure! I bought
an API stand from you guys this fall and found the same stand at
the new hunting store in Pelham across from WalMart. It was $34
more than your price! Glad I bought it from your store.
Your article in the spring edition talked about taking a child to
the woods. I agree! You almost never find me in camo without my
son. Please include Andy's picture in the collage in the middle
of your next magazine. It would be great. Thanks a bunch! See you
