I, Roderick Jordan went to Mark's Outdoor Sports and talked with
Mark, (the owner) and asked him if he would help me get ready for
the national (22nd) wheelchair games. I asked him for help with
my archery equipment. Mark looked over my paperwork and told his
employees in the archery department to fix me up with what I needed.
While waiting for them working on my bow and getting arrow's equipment
ready, Mark came to the back where I was waiting and we talked about
competing in the games. Mark told me that if I win in archery, all
the equipment that he fixed me up with would be free, but if I lose,
come back with my checkbook. While at the games, I won a gold medal
in archery and I went back and showed my results. Everyone there
congratulated me and was proud of my achievement because I haven't
shot a regular bow in over 10 years.
I am looking forward to games in Long Beach, California on July
5th-9th, 2003.
